Brand new regional distribution centre pre-let to Waitrose handed over
State of the art facility which took 9 months to construct was delivered ahead of schedule, on budget.
Evander have completed the handover of a 420,000 sq ft state of the art regional distribution centre for well known UK supermarket Retailer Waitrose at their Matrix Park Development in Chorley.
The building which comprises of a 360,000 sq ft warehouse, 50,000 sq ft of office space and a vehicle maintenance unit will allow Waitrose to service upto 80 branches across the North of England and Scotland as part of a £35 million investment.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Evander Director Neil Dickinson said : "We are delighted to complete the handover of this award winning facility for Waitrose on budget and fully ahead of programme. This project once again underscores Evanders ability to respond rapidly to occupier requirements for high quality distribution accommodation throughout the North West distribution market. The early handover of this building is testament to the skill and dedication of the outstanding project team assembled on this project."
The building was constructed by Winvic with Knight Webb acting as employers agent.
Waitrose is expected to take occupation of the building after fit-out later in the year.
