Evander stikes again in Chorley

Evander Properties in conjunction with British Airways Pension Fund have bought a 25 acre site on which to develop up to 375,000 sq ft of industrial property.

Deal comes hot on the heels of a 420,000 ft² pre-let to Waitrose at the adjacent Matrix Park site in Chorley. Planning consent has since been granted and construction is due to start in August.

The former BAE site at Revolution Park, Chorley has been fully remediated and will accommodate build to suit warehouse and industrial accommodation from 60,000 ft² up to 375,000 ft².  Evander intend to submit a planning application to Chorley Borough Council as soon as possible.

Jeremy Greenland, Managing Director of Evander Properties, commented, “We are delighted to have secured another strategically located site in the North West, especially given the current lack of supply of good quality ‘oven ready’ sites in the region”.

Daniel Burn of Jones Lang LaSalle, who acquired the site on behalf of Evander added, “Over the last few years, Chorley has become a hub for distribution centres serving the M6 corridor and the North West region. With its close proximity to three motorways, excellent local infrastructure and critical mass, we are very optimistic that our clients will be able to repeat their recent success at Matrix Park”.
