Evander appointed development manager by CBRE investors on A1M

Evander has been brought in by CBRE Global Investors to Development Manage 'A1M', a 10.16 acre site located in Sawtry, between Huntingdon and Peterborough.

A1M comprises an existing modern distribution building of approximately 120,000 sq ft with the ability to be further expanded to provide a unit of 180,000 sq ft. Strategically located with direct access to the A1M, the site sits approximately 7 miles north of the A1/A14 interchange at Brampton Hut and via the A14 links directly to the east coast port of Felixstowe some 95 miles away and to the west with The Midlands with Birmingham 80 miles away. To the South, Central London is located within 65 miles and Peterborough some 15 miles to the north.

Speaking about the development Evander Properties Managing Director Jeremy Greenland said : “We are very pleased to bring this scheme to the market. Being able to offer a well located unit of between 120,000 sq ft and 180,000 sq ft on a leasehold or freehold basis makes this a unique opportunity in a market of short supply".

Retained agent Alan Matthews, of Barker Storey Mathews also went on to say :"Cambridgeshire has a short supply of larger industrial/warehouse buildings with much of the available stock being of poorer quality or located in the northern part of the area. A1M is a first class modern facility which is less than 7 years old having been completed in 2005. In addition to the existing floor space the property has the capacity to be expanded by a further 30% if required. As an existing building it also offers significant cost benefits over the alternative of new build and furthermore is available to occupy from Q2, 2012"
